Office of Industrial Economics (OIE), Ministry of Industry has appointed Chula Unisearch, Chulalongkorn University to conduct Robotics and Automation Industry Foresight 2040 for the following purposes:

1. To study trends for the next 10 to 20 years which will have direct impact to Thai Industry in term of technology, economy, society, environment, energy, etc.]
2. To come up with Industry Foresight as a result from changes in our world’s situations in the two targeted industry, i.e., Robotics and Foods.
3. To allow OIE, with the resulted Industry Foresight, to formulate plans, strategies and road maps for the targeted industry in order to allow for change management in a timely manner according to future trends and changes in the world’s situations.

Whereas Thai Automation and Robotics Association (TARA) is the target group which have direct impact to this study due to its business of automation and robotics. Thus the invitation to join this study was extended to TARA by which Dr. Prapin Abhinorasaeth, President of TARA, has brought its member to attend the study meeting on 13 September 2019 at The Twin Tower Hotel Bangkok.
 
Thai Automation & Robotics Association (TARA)’s members consist of Thai companies and invited professionals who specializes in automation and robotic systems.  The objectives of the association are a) being a center in automation and robotics for Buyers and sellers as well as a center for business cooperation among members and professionals in all related fields; b) to create cooperation among members, public, private, and government entities both domestically and internationally with mutual objectives to develop business cooperation; and c) to promote technology development including but not limited to research, innovations, seminars, training and consulting to further the adoption of automation and robotics.
